MayDay Barrel Bonanza

Barrel racing originated in Texas during the 1930s-1940s as a way for women to compete in rodeos, formally establishing itself through the Girls Rodeo Association (now WPRA) in 1948. Initially featuring varied patterns, it evolved from a judged, stylish exhibition into a high-speed, 3-barrel cloverleaf competition focused on agility, speed, and precision.

The focal point for this project was building a brand identity inspired by it's Texas origins. The deliverables are expected to be expanded and iterated on as the event grows and finds it's place at the World Equestrian Center.
